Our old mucker Dakardude took me and fireman shooting in the lakes. We rode the bikes up and then played with the AK47 and M16 all day.

First time I'd shot proper rifles today!...And no scope on this one!! The rules were: 25 rounds, 3 minutes. First 5 rounds for the orange flash bang for 50 points, then 10 rounds per upper and lower targets each. I was shooting the second from left target. Got flash bang on 3rd shot and scored 168 total!! Buzzing!!!

At targets.... wtf!!! There are plenty of rambliars up there, why waste targets?:nenau

Must be a real PITA having to cock the AK for every round.

It was, but compared to the semi auto M16 in the clip below, the AK was miles more fun to shoot....I want one:D

Hate to correct you Stevie after all your fun, Fireman's firing a scoped AK.:thumb2

Bloody good day out all in all, some good laughs, nice ride up there, weather spot on and we raised a good few hundred quid for a community centre in Kendal :thumb2

Best laugh was it was Stevie's first crack with an AK (turns out he is one evil shot) and he managed to get a flashbang target on his 3rd shot then ended up with 178 as his score, I got feckin' 97! I'm not taking him again. I think the barrel must be bent :nenau :D

Fireman got some corking tight groups with my mate Bob's AK and managed an INSANE speed at one point on his new Triumph on the motorway (lovely bike)!

You get used to it to be honest and it keeps the costs of bullets down I guess. If the choice is own a straight pull AK or don't have one at all, I'll take the straight pull :thumb

Looks like the M16 is .22 which is the largest calibre you can have as a semi auto - the AK counts as bolt action in that configuration allowing you to fire some proper size rounds :thumb
