Bikes Had a Hard life

Carrying on from this thread here I am starting to think my 07 GSA has had a reall hard life.

I bought it and it has 40K on the clock, ok no problems there I know but I have not even done 1K on it yet nad I have had to replace the clutch as it was abosolutly nakered, replaced the front discs(ok I knew these needed doing) and now I have found the rear shock had no gas in it and nearly no oil as the seals had gone. I thought it was just the charateristics of the bike for it to be softer than my sports bikes, it still handles well.

Now you donot see many threads on here about shocks braking down, ok getting replaced for after market ones shortly after purchase so i am now thinking what else could be about to go wrong, seems it has had a hard life some how.

Got the full BMW service history and the only thing that seems to be ok is the FD as it had that done at 31K ha ha!!!

the clutch has gone a bit early however theres a few things that could lead to it..handguards, stop start traffic etc. Is the suspension original, if so it would be well past its best, i did mine at 30k and mines had an easy life really.

Just sounds like wear and tear to me

Out of interest .... how much did you pay for it?

I got it cheaper than others I paid £6700 for it.

At the time the clutch was not slipping so take that out of the equation it was only the discs I could see doing.
