What a fecking shame :(

Used to be a top place, with helpful, experienced staff who knew their stuff. I've spent fortunes in there over the years - clothing, luggage, lids, boots, all sorts - going back to the mid-90's.

They've still got all the top brands but nowadays, every time I go in there something just doesn't go right:
- Inconsistent advice from different members of staff
- Contact details left with a question, never answered
- Over-charging for stuff
- Lack of product knowledge

At first I thought it was just a one-off, someone having a bad day or a new recruit, but it's happening every time.

From now on, I might go in there for cleaning gloop and oil if I'm desperate, but otherwise I'll look elsewhere.

Pity, I used to really like it. :(

Odd and a pity.

Any time I or any of my chums has been there they have always ben spot on.

Have a word with the manager as maybe they need a bit of a shake up?

I find them to be pretty good on the whole. I find their prices fair and they are sensible if you say you can get it cheaper elsewhere. The boss is a great guy who really knows his stuff and as with any reasonably sizeable business the staff can vary. To be honest if they seem a bit dozy I just say I want toi talk to someone who knows a bit more about this particular product. They get the message!

i brought a Revit jack from them about 18 months, 2 weeks ago all the poppers broke on one side of the inner gortex liner, they asked me to email some photos so i did.

Nothing for 2 weeks, so i called them on friday and said they ae looking into it and have forwarded the email to revit, they said they would call me back in the afternoon, nothing yet........

time will tell

Just to complete my post,

Bikestop did call me later, remembering that i initially only asked them if i could buy some replacement poppers, after contacting Revitt they managed to get me a replacement gortex liner FOC even though it was out of warrenty.

It has now arrived at the shop and they are posting it for free as well.

I guess you have to say when you have recieved a good service as well as when others have recieved bad service.

I will use them again :thumb2

Lloyd
