I bought a kids quad last weekend from a chap in Coolock, need to get it to Passage West,Co Cork. Rang a local chap Mark H €210 and rang Biketrans €120, said they would have it delivered on Thurs evening, I went ahead with them. seller stayed in Thurs eve to handover quad to the, no show, no contact to either me or the seller. I eventually get an answer from them saying truck was delayed coming in from UK(UK van collecting it and putting it onto Cork van)and would update me Fri am. No updates from them at all, I sent texts etc. Seller needs quad out of the way as he has purchased new bike for his daughter. First time using Biketrans,am I wasting my time with them?.

He from Cork, so reckon he'll have to drop off the bikes collected in the UK to make room for yours.... i've used him 3-4 times, with no problems... as Luke says... give him a bell :)

Thanks Luke, I rang & texted him, no reply to either. Hopefully it's just a blip ,an update would have been nice from them. I saw last night on donedeal their 'customers to Cork'. Think I need to get a Plan B as seller needs it gone ASAP.

I live about 15 minutes drive from Coolock. I have a large garage. If the seller wants to deliver the quad to me in Sutton then I'll hold on to it for you untill you get sorted. Let me know. :thumb

Many thanks for that very kind offer Luke, I spoke to Biketrans at noon today and they promised to ring me back in 20 mins....still waiting.
However I just contacted the seller to suggest your offer and they rang him to confirm collection tomorrow afternoon.
Once again tks for your info and your offer Luke.

used biketrans a few times he is not great for contact or chat but always did what was asked off him as in give him your name and address and the name and address of the guy who has the bike and he will appear at both places collect and deliver the bike

what more do you want really

Frank, better comms would have prevented the seller staying in on his day off to wait for a collection that never happened. 3+ days late for collection in my opinion is poor. His price at €120 is very good as I didn't have the time to travel. Anyway from the positive experiences from this forum and people using them again, it's probably just a blip they had with me.
