Biking plans for 2027

Ooops, forgot I still have unfinished business in 2026.

Spa 6-hour Classic towards the end of the month (sort of a week away).

Tossers’ weekends in the Midlands.

Probably a jaunt to north east France / Belgium of some sort for a long weekend.

Anything to keep the wheels turning.

If we’re including other types of transport then 2026 is still going. Sunday we’re on the ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. A few days making our way to Chamonix where we’ll stay until the weekend. Through the tunnel and over to Lake Garda where we’ll stay until are staying for a week in Pesheria. After that slowly making our way home via an other few days visiting family in Chamonix.
We’ll be on the same ferry again in January but in the pickup truck for another visit with our son and his family. This time staying in the apartment above the bar.

Still have 2 weeks in Spain to go for 2026.
Next year hopefully a couple of long weekends to the eifel earlier in the year.
A battlefields trip for those interested and also hoping to head into Germany but then the lesser trodden areas so maybe the Harz or even up to the north …. Inspired by @Loiq trip this year.
Then the usual France trip late in the summer…..

….. and all on 2 wheels…

At least that’s is what’s being said on the internet. Then again, if you like to discover new less visited frontiers, experience different cultures, then you all shall have a good time. Enjoy!

As you say .. new frontiers new places cultures new everything. Never been so it should be exciting. Stelvio Pass has been done twice and lovely it was too. :cool::cool:
 
I’ve been back 3 weeks from my last Euro trip and I’ve already got cabin fever. Got a couple of camping trips left but next year will kick off with April / May France around Vercors and then July / August another Euro trip taking in the usual suspects of Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland then back home for tea and medals.

Always seem to find something I’ve missed on previous trips so never get tired of visiting those countries.

There are bods which churn up a lot more photos on this very forum, considerably less in a way of words. Which is a shame really, a photo is just that, a photo without a context.
Others are very good with their witty side, and do write some stuff that makes you burst out in uncontrollable laughter from time to time even when f pictures a few and far between.
Then there are types like me, who do rewrite War & Peace novels over and over again, include necessary photos for context, a bit from the internet about a place and might even include a route traveled as a bonus.
Still as you have said, “that’s a good thing”, even if I do get mocked for it. You can’t please everyone at once, sometimes not even on a one to one basis.

Trip to Gedinne in August.

Probably a trip to see relatives in Lancaster at some point.

A few long weekends in Northern France, but not arranged yet.

I do fancy a trip to the Bol d'Or...
 
My motorcycling touring holidays are now only a distant memory

I'll be 'riding out' whenever I can often in my own company but also to various cafe's and meeting up with my even older mate

Beyond that I'll be feasting on the varied excellent reports of others on here and watching Michael Portillo on the T.V

Nothing planned yet for next year and definitely won't be doing anything at all for the first 6 months because I've just committed myself to doing an intensive French language course in Lyon aimed at getting me up to B2 standard. After that though I think I'll definitely be doing a trip, maybe to the scandiwegians for a change. Meantime I still have three more trips to do this year, a trail riding trip in northern Spain starting tomorrow, a road trip around northern France with a mate in late September and then a trail riding trip in northern France with the same mate in October. The last one is on an event called Cocoricorando which looks pretty good, I shall report back when I've done it
