Ok its about the seat hieght for my 1200gs , i need a lower seat has anyone managed to get one that is genuinely lower than the stock seat , that does ensure you get your feet down a bit lower? i need a inch or so, any ideas guys please.

Aside from using the stock seat on the lower setting, BMW, Touratech.. and all the usual suspects supply low seats, which will give you another inch (that don't read right)...which is hopefully what you need.

I have a lowered frame bike (R1200gs 2008), which came with the Low BMW seat. Designed for Short *rses.
I purchased a low seat from Touratech, which advertised that it was one inch lower than the BMW low seat. Not the case, it was the same height. However I guess that it would be one inch lower than the standard seat on the low setting. SMB

low seat - standard (often to be found on Ebay for £50 ish) or sargent£200-£300 used or new, hyperpro spring set £144 (but you'll need a spring compressor)lowers it about an inch or swap the suspension for wilbers £? - expensive but great shocks and about 2-3 inches shorter than standard. remeber to alter the side stand or it'll fall over

let the air out of your tryes!!

Sorry about stupid reply I weight 20 stone that always lowers every bike by an inch!

When I bought my GSA I opted for a low seat from BMW, which was from the regular GS, as I had never ridden such a high bike and wanted to be able to put my feet on the floor. However, fast forward a week and I took it off and used the standard saddle. Still have the lower one if you want it, its black and hradly ever used.:)
