Bit of polish needed

The squish band looks very close to the valve seat.

is that not a risk of getting a hot spot ?

Looks the same as my stock R90S heads (just had them off for new rings). The gap between the valve seats is probably smaller. So I wouldn't think there's a risk.

I was going to wait till the frame came back from powder to finish building the motor ,to keep it as a solo person job installing it.
But ,I’m bored of waiting.
New clutch fitted.

Were those caps on the top of the forks chromed? (They were on my R60 and were replaced by plastic caps on my R80.) Did BMW get into cheese paring mode and cut the chrome between the two? It's starting to look awful nice by the way. :drool

If you don't mind me asking Mikey what bars are the ones you have fitted look right for what Im after ,Ive got set off a bandit fitted at the Moment but Im leaning to far forward .yours look ideal.:beerjug:Your work is fantastic Im enjoying this thread and its giving me some inspiration, love it cant wait to see you complete it .:beerjug:

The fork tops pictured are standard from the original machine, swapped onto the “new” twin disc forks.
Not chromed but plain alloy, now vapour blasted.
