This is a bitter-sweet day.
I spent several hours tinkering with the GS today, but I was removing several of the little extras that I have added over the past 2 years and 16000 miles.
Due to the likelihood of increasing my daily commute from 36 miles to 92 miles, I've decided to chop the GS in against an R1200RT. Much as I have adored the fun and ability of the GS, I think I need a bit more fairing to hide behind come those cold wet winter days!
The GS has been such a great bike, able to turn its hand to nearly anything- a real jack of all trades! I know I shall miss it when it is gone.
When I pull my finger out I shall get the bits I removed posted in the for sale section:
SW Motech pannier rails and rear rack
MRA vario screen
Wunderlich Ergo Vario screen
Perhaps even the Givi Trekkers (a big one & a small one)
There's no point it all gathering dust in my garage (Think I'm joking? I just came aross an Aeroflow screen for an R1150RT I had 3 motorbikes ago !)
I don't fancy signing off from the forum, as it has been the nicest I have yet participated in.
