bittorrent: how does that work then?

i've been asked about bittorrent a few times, and have just been asked again. so i found this little tutorial that explains it better than i could.

To be honest, I was once an avid Azureus user. Now of course I am an IT god, but for most people its a pretty complicated way of going about torrent downloads and probably quite confusing for most people. The advantage is that as a java based program it will work on any platform.

For Windows users, go get Utorrent. Its small, neat and handy and allows you to tweak the necessary settings without going nerdy on you. Much more flexible than bittorrent (the program, not the protocol).
