rode it a few weeks back staying at pension williams, sunny warm, didnt notice any closures, police, traffic lights (apart from the ones that have always been there at sand IIRC), mid week, its mostly a sort of wide open sweepers type of place so some rather fast stretches on that road, speed has be up there to make it interesting,if you are " must obey the speed limits type of rider" then take you car instead:blast and enjoy the views... of course there are other roads that do require good focus that are made for bikes thru out the forest, but please dont talk about them as they will end up full of cars doing the speed limit :blast

Nah, it actually got there pretty quickly (and perfectly legally on the Autobahn) and touched 150 downhill - not bad for a 320ED :aidan

B500 closure

Please note I live about 2K from the B500 & it is NOT closed on Sundays or any other day of the week!!!!!!!!!!!!, So you are all welcome to visit Pension Williams & ride one of the finest Biking roads in the world on any day of the week.
Regards

Dave

Black Forest hotel recomendation

hi

I am planning a trip to the Black Forest in September and wondered whether anyone could recommend a hotel [4 bikers] in the central or southern area - Titisee , Freudenstadt areas.

Thanks.

John

Pension Williams - I think they had an Autumn deal on for groups of bikes, drop them a line.

From a remarkably poor start, this thread has morphed into an arguement over road closures and now become a hotel guide.

Before it evolves into a discussion on tyre wear or whether the finest cakes really do contain cherries, let's put it out of its misery.
