I wonder if anyone can help or cast any light on my instrument problems
I left the bike (2013 990 Adventure) in my garage for two weeks whilst away and on my return the clocks were dead aside from ABS light and backlight. The bike starts and runs just fine.
I removed the clocks and dismantled them to inspect - no signs of any moisture ingress so re-assembled them and re fitted and they worked! put the bike away, went down to the garage again today and they are not working again!!
There must be a reason (I have seen some similar threads that report the same problem) - it'd be good to know - I'm pretty sure it isn't water in the clocks mine were bone dry inside and have never misted. The 990 has done less than 10k and hasn't had a hard life (yet)
