Bleeding ABS brakes on an 1150 - how do I do it?

As an update, there is definately no air in the lines at all. Of that I am now sure. The lever still comes back to the bar on the first pump, and then goes firm with some feeling.

There is a funny creaking noise coming from the front LH caliper though, so I'm tempted to get a master cylinder rebuild kit and also perhaps look at two secondhand calipers from the likes of Sherlocks or Motorworks.:(

Finally got it fixed*. The trick was to crack the bleed nipple open and push the pistons back. The design of the caliper means that once air is in the caliper, it won't bleed out through the nipple. Once that is done, the pistons are clamped or chocked in and the brakes bled normally.

Perfect.
