Got a few days off work so decided today to go out for a ride. Just me an my bike. When you work all week you take your bike out for a spin, and have to put up with the weekend traffic of others also getting out and about.
Today was one off those days were its just you because everybody is at work. Went up to Lancaster via M61, M6, nice pace and very light traffic. Came off at Lancaster, headed for the Trough of Bowland. Not a soul about, all the road to myself, taking nice lines and getting the wheels of the floor ( for those of you who know the trough, just how much fun is it !!!!!! ). took in Slaidburn, through Clitheroe, jump over Sabden and bombed over the tops to Haslingden then onto the top road to Ramsbottom. Sheer bliss. Empty roads, Cold Autumn air, and sunshine. Days like this were made for bikes. Off again tomorow so more off the same.
With all the sh*t that goes on in the world, isnt it good to just feel alive.
