Hi All,
I noticed that water does not drain down the drain hole on the tank on my 1100. I'd like to try and clear this. Where does this tank drain hole pipe come out? Do I need to tank the tank off or does it hang down somewhere accessable?
Many thanks.

Just rectified the same problem on my 1150...

basically poked a strong piece of garden twine down the vent hole.

It seems that the metal drain pipe would be around 10 cm long and is then mated to one of the black drain/breather hoses that come out inside of the right footpeg.

It looked like a bit of corrosion in the pipework or similar debris had collected and blocked it. After a couple of stout pokes..heard a reassuring glug glug and the water drained straight out of the drain hose.

Hope that sorts it. There are more technical answers posted elsewhere on this site.

Ok, i'll try the easy way first. I gues you just remove teh filler cap and the hole is there? I'll give it a go tonight.
Cheers
Dave

You could also try a compressed air line or even a foot pump to blow it clear

Just beware of being too 'forthright' in the way you try to clear it. It's a long series of rubber pipes which follow quite a convoluted route - might be easy to damage if you're not careful...

Done it! Pushed a thin cable tie down there and itr went glug and it now drains cleanly. :)
Thanks for the replies.:)
