I have posted a WTB, but thought I would increase the odds of success by cross-posting here :
After many months of treatment for pancreas and prostate conditions, I am now feeling able to start back on an R1150GS project that I abandoned eighteen months ago.
Yesterday I took the tank off the bike and uncovered this :
I didn't expect to find this level of corrosion after a relatively short period of time, there was a small amount of fuel left in the tank when I put the bike away.
I have a new pump and filter which I ordered prior to pulling this plate, can anyone help with a used baseplate and gauge mechanism please.
