Got this yesterday for a reasonably good price. Had to go to Devon to get it though. On the very wet (Actually it pissed it down so heavily I was drenched within 20 minutes !!!) return journey I discovered that when you brake above 80 , the front wheel shakes and transmits that shake to the handlebars, oh and the next day when I got it out to clean it I discovered that the left heated grip had stopped working,which is odd as it worked all the way home. phoned the guy I bought it from, and to his ultimate credit, he said yeah sounds like discs are warped I'll see if i can get you some, 5 minutes later job all done and dusted and the new discs will be with me on Friday.
So... can warped dsics produce the symptoms I described, and :
If I was fault diagnosing a left hand faulty heated grip where would I start. The right hand one is extremely warm and I had to turn it down as it was just TOO hot.
Oh and some pics of the bike, just in case anyone doesnt know what they look like (Hey come on this is the 1200 section, err hmm yeah)
Apparently the new discs have to be torqued down as well, which is gonna be fun as I dont have a torque wrench, or any way of stopping the bike falling on me after Its on its main stand but minus its front wheel. Anyone know what they are torqued down to, Ft/Lbs wise??
Anyone got an idiots guide on either (i'll need pictures...
)
