Help please.

Being a numpty I have managed to screw up the Datatool S4 alarm on SWMBO's 2004 F650GS. I think I have blown a fuse on the circuit that makes the indicators flash. When I try to set the alarm now the lights don't flash and the alarm goes off immediately. When you cancel the alarm the red light flashes once, which the manual says indicates an interruption in power supply. The only way to keep the alarm quiet now is to set it to winter mode. but you can't use the steering lock in winter mode and the alarm is not set.:blast The indicators on the bike work when the ingnition is on, so it is not that circuit.

Is there any way to get at the fuse on the datatool fuse? What fuse will I need to replace it with. There is nothing on the datatool website. Will I have to pay a dealer to repair it? Should i just rip it out and throw it away?

I hate alarms - hate them!!

Please advise before I do something else I will regret.

Regards,

Path.

blowed fuse

i known its probably a daft question .......but have you checked all bike fuses ,did same on mine last week,it turned out to be one of fuses in fuse box under seat

That sounds like the fuse on the power lead to the alarm, not one on the board itself. I have a System 3 and that does exactly the same if the feed fuse is removed.
It's a 10amp mini-blade type, see the pics below.
Hope that helps,
Mick
