hi can anyone help out riding on sun battery light comes on, stop bike and check over, the pink 4 amp fuse nearest outside of bike is blown, neutral light and rev counter and warning lights not working, horn, indicators and tail light all ok got to garage and changed the fuse, turned on ignition and all correct lights work as soon as turn bike over the fuse blows again. is my battery still charging and what could cause this. cheers: sorry forgot to say im on a 2003 1150 gs

Check the feeds to the fuse box... just done a mod on an 1100 sidestand switch... and for a while had the brake lever turning on the ign light... only 1 flashing abs light, and no neutral light .. and the tacho not working

traced it back to the fuse one feed under the fuse board ... gave it a shove with long nosed pliers and everything seems well ...

May be a similar but simple thing with yours ;)

Your battery/alternator light shouldn't be on when the engine is running.

Do the simplest thing first - check the alternator belt is in one piece. If it's shredded or snapped it may have caused some other wiring damage.

If it's ok and in one peice check the blue wire connection on the alternator, this often breaks and flaps around.
