Does anyone know of a Bluetooth system I can use with my zumo 550 that does NOT have a mike ?? - I don't use my fone while riding and I only want to listen to instructions from my sat nav .

I have a Scala Rider FM, two speakers, radio and works with the Zumo and phone.
Due to rough handling the mic boom fell off.
It still works though I now can't talk to anyone..... not a problem for me :thumb

Get some Ultimate ear in ear monitors and plug them straight into the 3.5mm jack on the cradle.................... Perfect.

Or use a bluetooth adaptor for earbuds............. loads out there.

Just got an Autocom Air, comes with a mike but you don't have to plug it in as it's a separate item. Seems to work very nicely :thumb2

I am just about to take delivery of Torks 'sidekick' bluetooth headset with integral premium Xpro speakers.
Not only is it claimed to be very loud (with great speakers) but you can also unplug the mic.

See on the Torkworld site - http://www.torkworld.com/headsets/sidekick.html

Price in the UK will be £110. Xpro speakers alone are £56.99.

Let me know if that's of interest.

Hi Shuck Raider,

Do you use the Autocom Air with a Zumo 550? I only ask as a while back Autocom advised me that the system doesn't work well with the 550 and advised against it.. Maybe they have solved any 'technical' issues they may have been experiencing as it was a while back..

I have a Zumo 550 that's hard wired to my Autocom and works perfectly. I've recently bought a Scala Rider G4 from a fellow tosser to dip my toe into the idea of moving to BT and compared to the hard wired Autocom it's crap. And I mean really crap. Sound quality is appalling and at anything over around 30mph there's not enough volume to hear anything. I bought the G4 to experiment though so nothing gained nothing lost ;)

I've been keen to try BT just to get rid of the Autocom cable and this was a nice low cost way of giving it a go, anyone know if the volume and sound quality issues are related to the G4 or to the 550 ... or the 2 combined?
