I updated my StreetPilot 2820 software to version 3.3 today as well as adding some custom POIs and now have problem with the Bluetooth. Previosly I've been able to connect my phone with out too much of a problem, now when I go enable the bluetooth in settings it just says "Enabling Bluetooth" forever without switching it on. Anyone got any idea how to fix this - I'm tempted to try the 3.9 beta software for the 2820.

Suggest you try re-loading. I updated my 2820 and it works OK with my nokia.

I've tried reinstalling version 3.3 which didn't help and then tried the beta version 3.91 (which included a Bluetooth firmware update - suspicious?)... but unfortunately, when I try and enable the bluetooth it says "Enabling Bluetooth" and the small loading icon just goes round and round and none of the bluetooth settings become available. Has anyone encountered problems like this? What length of time should it usually take to enable the bluetooth - previsouly it would switch on straight away.

sounds obvious but have you set your phone to be discoverable by others?

it's not a pairing or device problem - the bluetooth functionality on the Garmin will not initiate (turn on) at all.

on the home screen the bluetooth symble (top, right of middle screen) has a red cross through the symble (bit like a no service signal might be on a mobile phone)....when i touch the symble it asks if you want to "enable" the bluetooth, when i click yes......it states it is "enabling bluetooth"....but never actually succeeds......

the problem is not "pairing" "discoverable" or similar - the bluetooth functionality simply will not work.

phone call to garmin first thing.......i guess......!

The conclusion is on the VFR forum link.
