Yep me again, one little thing after another at the moment with the old girl...

Pillion seat lock has snapped off, has anyone done a neat trick to secure the seat to avoid replacing the locking unit?

Cheers again in advance all.

This happened to me when I took delivery of my 1100GS a few weeks ago.

The locking mech had been repaired with some cable ties before but I was ham fisted getting the seat off and finished it off.

I just shelled the £60 odd for a new one in the end. Was easy enough to swap the lock barrel over and protect the tools from tool thieves the world over.

Cheers for the reply, Wasn't too worried about tools but more so about the scroats nicking the wifes seat, anyway had a right touch that there was a locking mechanism on a spare sub frame I had lurking in a corner of the garage. All sorted in about an hour or so....

Cheers
