BMW Air Flow Jackets

Pieman

Let us know the sizing, I'm a FBS as well, ie size 60/62 0n Rukka

Many thanks

Gary

Thx for the link notadrop.

Just ordered me a blue one. Daft not to at that price.

Hope the heatwave lasts :D

I bought a First Gear Meshtex hi-viz jacket from the States last year for about $160. No better than my usual jacket when on the Pan, the fairing is too efficient, but on a naked bike, it's brilliant.

Busters reckon the sizing is Generous ....

In other products Belstaff do XXXXL !

I've ordered a Storm one ...

hope it fits ... but a 69.99 GBP it seems like a bargain.

How do BMW justify the cost of their clothing?

A few questions, if you don't mind. We are looking at this jacket for my wife, who only rides pillion. This complicates the matter of vents considerable, as the only place she catches any real cooling wind is arms and shoulders. Any vents in the chest region are wasted, as there is only the still air pocket behind me there, and no cooling.

So, are there vents / mesh-style material down the arms? If so, how much do they vent (e.g. if there are zips on the arms, do they only open on the lower arm, upper arm or the full length of the arm)? Is there any mesh material on the arms? What about the back?

Grateful for any input you can provide. Or pictures. Pictures would be grand.

Hi Krop
sorry but I do not have a camera to hand. I will describe as I look at the jacket.

FRONT PANELS either side of main zip have a full length zip from chest to bottom of the jacket [2 x 45cm]
Above these in the shoulder region are [2x 9cm] horizontal zips.

ARMS have [4 x 9cm] forward facing zips [ one above elbow joint and one below].

BACK has [1 x 30cm] zip across top of shoulder blades and [2 x 9cm] zips on the lower outer shoulder blade area.

All these have mesh behind stiched in to the jacket.

Good Luck!

Paul

I also followed the thread and bought one even though I have the Belstaff enduro style adventure jacket xxxl (6 vents and zipoff sleeves + w/proof overjacket + Camelback type bladder on the back, armour extra) but still too warm in this weather. The enduro jacket was £130 about a year ago and when Belstaff pulled out of the m/cycle clothing market they were £40 at the Ally Pally (mate bought one - me gutted)
Mine should arrive tomorrow.

Belstaff Airblast: Ordered it last thurs. Arrived today. Nice one Busters :thumb

i cant believe what a cracking piece of kit it is for £60.00. Test tomorrow to see how cool it keeps me. :)

Order Total : £69.99

Grand Total : £78.57

Thanks for the heads up re the Airblast, received mine yesterday. Top jacket for the money, works really well and looks good too :)

I concur with Ben. Nothing can touch the AirFlow jacket on a hot day. Its another story if it rains.

Quality is excellent!

Just bought a Richa Air vent Function jacket and pretty bloody impressed so far (only 1 day old).

Has mesh type venting outer plus an inner removable waterproof layer and also a removable warmer waistcoat inside of that.

Most impressed so far and only around £100'ish.

Mine arrived, it works, it fits , and it bloody well made ...

Would be more thna happy to by Belstaff again .... very impressed.

And 70 GBP !

Airflow 2 Jackets

Just to let you guys know that Balderston BMW has a couple of Airflow 2 jackets at a reduced price, £120 instead of the normal £240, as I think there is an airflow 3 jacket now available.

Cheers
