I was at the Bristol Classic Bike Show at Shepton Mallet on Saturday (on an Oilhead, but I still have the 100 GS
).
I came across this stand:
I spoke to the guy who had set it up two years ago. It seems they are disillusioned refugees from the BMW Club which was declaring no interest in 'Classic' or 'Historical' bikes.
They had some interesting bikes on the stand (though I know Krauser 4-valve heads are not to everyone's taste
).
He knew about UKGSer.com
.
J Maisie's 1980 R80 GS:
P Simms' 1976 R 90S:
G Pryke, 1982 BMW R80 ST:
D Tinkler - 1982 BMW Krauser (?):
No. 477 (under the banner) is M Slade's 1976 R100 RS.
Their "Free On-Line Magazine" can be found here:
http://theairhead.co.uk/
I just thought someone might be interested
.
Bob.
p.s. I took 300 pics at the show - see here:
