Hi there,

With several long-ish trips anticipated over the next couple of months I wouldn't mind knowing the contact details for BMW Assist, just in case I need it. Unfortunately, the dealership has so far failed to get back to me over the last couple of weeks with any detail.

Does anyone have any useful info such as contact numbers, where you are covered, what is and isn't covered etc...?

Many thanks,

Max

You should have a little booklet with all the info in.

The number though is +44 20 8686 2444

Steve,

Thanks for the number :beerjug:

The only booklet I got was the rider's manual, and I can't find any reference to it in there. If you mean a dedicated 'BMW Assist' booklet, then no, I definitely didn't get one of those...to be honest, calls not returned and not all documents provided is pretty much indicative of the buying process this time round!

This is a scan of my booklet. I'm sure BMW will see it as good publicity and won't cry copyright foul.

I think then full details are available on their website and downloadable as PDF?

Blackal - many thanks.

The document says "Congratulations on the purchase of your BMW Motorrad Insured Emergency Service", and refers to 'your policy' and a confirmation letter. I've had my '14 GSA for a month now and have received nothing about any confirmation letter or policy. Is this service something that comes with the bike from new and which lasts for a certain period of time (as I thought) or something you still have to pay extra for?

Thanks again for all help so far.

Max

I think you should have had a policy document and a credit-style card - with the significant details on it. Phone the dealer and ask where they are?

Al

All new BMW bikes come with 2 yrs BMW Assist (European Breakdown cover) for "free". My booklet came with the bike at delivery and had bike details and supplying dealer info completed on the first page by the dealer. AFAIK you don't have to do anything extra as the policy covers the bike not the rider.

I'm surprised the dealer couldn't clarify this out without having to call you back.
