Just like to express my appreciation of the speedy work form BMW Assist / Mill Sunderland.
Spoke to Steve from Mill sales whilst at the local Bikewise event and mentioned that I had a dodgy rear brake pad (long story). Steve advised me to contact their dealership service dept first thing on Monday morning as it was under warranty.
Phoned Mill on Monday and they immediately told me to phone BMWA. Due to work commitments, and the fact I couldn't remember my reg. no (doh!!), I eventually phoned 'em at 5pm. Their guy pulled up outside my house 15 minutes later!! He checked over the faulty pad, contacted Mill re pad availability, and agreed to contact me again today to supply / fit the pads or to arrange collection of the bike.
The Assist guy turned up again this morning, fitted the replacement pads and by 12:00 the bike was ready to roll.
Excellent service, and my grateful thanks to all concerned.

I've mentioned this elsewhere but have added it here. While on a rideout with 25 or so bikes in the Portsmouth area the air inlet pipe on the L cylinder of my 1200 GS blew off. BMW assist turned up within the hour, in a fully kitted out BMW 5 series estate. The guy was a bike technician and within 15 mins back on the road. Managed to meet up with the rest of the group for lunch. First class service.
