BMW Battery failed !!!!!

Does anyone know why the original battery battery fitted to my K100RS(16) , the faster Pearl White model , the bike, not the battery , should fail at a most inconvenient time ?

Could it possibly be that the battery is just 16 years old & has had plently of abuse ????

If this is the case what do you think BMW should do about it ?

I blame the owner for not looking after it properly. It's obviously been neglected.

That's how they used to be built. I just bought a new battery today for my 28 month old GS. OK so I neglected it a bit but now more than the cheap Sprint one in the VFR. That's even older and it's still holding a charge whereas the Exide one that came in the GS isn't. Let's hope the new Yuasa is better.

Rob , it was maintained . I only charged it up when it was fully discharged , saves electricity & hence delay the onset of global warming by one percent of a nano second .
