Complete battery failure

Lithiums will "go to sleep" if voltage goes down a certain point, things like alarms or other accesories will definitely drain your battery.

Also, be careful how you connect your charger... here are my recommendations

When i tour i take a Noco GB40 for myself and anyone in the group, there a godsend.

Check you bike accessories if you have any that maybe still using power after you turn the bike off.
Trackers, Phone chargers, USB sockets, Sat Navs etc etc.

If the battery is quite old then its best to replace it especially before a tour.
Leave off the optimate and check it with a Multimeter each day and check if its dropping.
A normal battery will drop if left over weeks or months but not daily.

Buy a new one mate, seriously before your stuck somewhere where they are hard to find and you waste a holiday for the sake of a battery I've done it you'll kick yourself !! my 1300GS just refused to start but had a complete electrical meltdown hence it went back for a full refund !! but that's another story

In one. Not to do so, whether going on a trip or not, is foolish and a very false economy.

It was back in June…..

Did it last……

Did you starve at the side of a motorway……..

Did you fit a new one……..

Did it explode ………

Are you still with us ……….

👍🏽

Lots of “Registered Users” in this 1300 section seem to have trouble with their bikes? :popcorn
