Hi All,
I wonder if you could help,
I am really not happy with my local BMW dealer, I am in Brighton so no need to say thame of it...
This is my 2nd BMW I use to have a K1200R and now moved to a R1200GS 2007, In the times I have been to this dealer they always been very bad in both knowladge and service, so could someone suggest an other dealer they would racomend near Brighton?
Thanks

Good dealers?

I was advised (on this forum) to go to Chandlers in Portslade to buy a helmet. I was unable to go but my brother went on my behalf, found them charming and helpful. He bought from them (for me) a system 6 helmet. He dealt with Adam Payne.

A good question!!

why on earth would you send someone else to buy you a helmet? Ever considered fitting?
In France a System 6 helmet costs 589€ (over £500) and in the UK I discovered (from this forum) that they could be found at under £300. I went to the BMW dealer in Lyon who I know well and asked them if they could match the UK price and they laughed - but they did allow me to try on the helmets for size. So my brother; who lives in Hove, bought the helmet in Portslade and I collected it from him on one of my brief flying visits to the UK.
Due to the rate of exchange most items are now considerably cheaper in the UK than in France ( a BASIC GS here was 13450€ (£11700) when I bought mine in 2008, paying almost 16000€ with the 'usual' options)

hardhang

i always go to south london motorcycles now vines in caterham top people and service ... i too have my reservations about brighton , always looked after me and very helpfull on the phone , do a search on this site ... and see

I have to agree with an earlier post that Coopers in Tunbridge Wells are very good and not too far from you. I have tried both Cannons, Essex and SBW Motorrad, Herts but prefer the overall customer service provided by Coopers though SBW comes a close second.
