That's odd ... I'd have thought it would have started with immediate effect![]()
No! They don't let you break down or have a failure, and not say, but then phone the next day claiming surprise and ooohhhh! I need to claim. The month delay stops that. I bought an RT privately a few years back just before a trip so I got an AA breakdown or similar and cancelled it after a month when the warranty/recovery kicked in.
It's all quite fair and reasonable in my view. But I guess if someone had a catastrophic expensive failure. They would think about parking up at home for just over a month!!!! But they may ask the mileage when you buy the cover and then check it at the time of a claim!
I imagine it would always be stressful and potentially expensive to be dishonest with any claim
