Sold BMW F800 GS 2009 £2850

I bought this a few months back and it needed a bit of love and attention to get it back to tip top

I’m only selling as I’ve acquired a newer 2015 F800GS and can’t justify keeping both of them

Since I bought it I’ve done the following work :

Oil & Filter change
Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Spark plugs
Valve clearances (all in spec)
Antifreeze flush and change
Brakes fully stripped and reassembled and system bled
New sump as old one had snapped bash plate mounts
New rear number plate light , mount and number plate
New fork seals , dust seals and oil
New front mudguard
Replacement LH engine clutch cover as original was corroded
Two fairing panels that were scratched replaced

I’ve added the following extras :
Fender extender
BMW powered Mount
Wireless Quadlock charger
Pannier Rails
BMW OEM Handguards
BMW OEM Engine Bars
Later model Centre Stand (much easier to get in centre stand)
Touring screen and support
BMW OEM headlight guard
BMW sump guard

Bike has nearly new tyres , recent chain & sprockets and comes with heated grips , BMW alarm , ABS and onboard computer . File with service history included and comes with two keys and alarm fobs plus original riders booklet

I can supply it with one of three seat options - low , standard or high . Pick which one you want or have all three by negotiation ;-)

Just flew through it’s MOT with no advisories so 12 months MOT

No known faults and all ready to go

I have a pair of VARIO panniers and top box that may be available at extra cost

For the observant I have replaced the Touratech hand guards with OEM BMW ones and yes it a new Excel rim on the front wheel

Tyres are Metzler Tourance 2

Just in case anyone thinks I am still trying to defuse Mrs Da1sycat, she is all good. Unfortunately my back isn't due to an heavy impact, not from Mrs Da1sycat I should add!

So very reluctantly I am OUT on this one. Which is more than a pity as I own TWO of John's bikes. Both bought unseen, both are lovely examples, and overhauled top to bottom as per all John's bikes.

If anyone is on the fence about this one, you'll kick yourself if you deliberate. My most recent purchase was agreed in the middle of the night, from half way round the globe after several glasses of the devil's brew and a prompt from DrFarkoff.

Don't sleep on it as you may be beaten to it by another who is awake

Great value in my experience. GLWS

Not sure the under seat first aid kit will help with your dodgy back but the comfort seat might ;-)
