Now to me this looks a lot like the BMW GS branded glove(which I've found to be great) but at a lot better price. Could this be who makes the BMW glove ?

Never been any hotter than any other summer glove I've had.

In my experience they're cooler than 'summer' gloves, they're totally uninsulated.

weiss summer gloves

I have the weiss gloves in black
goood for warm weather but I have another pair in the box for when I finish work at 11pm and its gone colder.
decent fit and comfortable BUT my first pair the cuff came away from the leather on both hands the shop called supplier and they replaced them this was 6 months after purchase ,the new ones seem better.

I use the Alpinestars SMX 2 AIr Carbon GLoves for summer use - Hong Kong has long hot and humid summers ... leather gloves would be a killer in our climate!

I have gone through a couple of pairs over the last few years - wearing most days of the week during my commute to and from work. Decent quality, never a problem with them ... the leather 'runs' when they get soaked, leaving 'black hands' but that usually happens with most non-waterproof gloves (!) but they dry out quickly if they get wet.

Purchased a pair of these and must say they fit like a glove :blast
Wore them home (50 miles) and they were just right, you can feel the 'airflow' through the mesh. 29 quid well spent IMO, will keep my leather ones in back box for cooler times :thumb2

I often wear light weight 'enduro' type gloves in summer but have to admit that I have no faith in them stying on in an accident as the wrist clasps are always pants :(

I do, however like the look of those Alpine Stars gloves - I'll be checking those out. What's the wrist fastening like Nick?

Andres,
The fastening on the Weiss ones are velcro and feel good. Like you say the proof of the pudding is in the eating, I hope i never know the answer to that one :thumb2

I've recently bought my second pair of the Alpinestar's. The first pair are still serviceable, but have been relegated to "spare" pair in my rucksack. The ones I bought are the SP-X, which are a bit OTT for a MX glove, but perfect for summer road riding.

Just add to a pair of GS2 boots for that total stormtrooper look (Star wars, not :ronno ;)

TBF tho, my gloves are mostly muddy brown and my boots are mostly covered buy rukka trews.:D
I do like good makes going cheap tho. ;)

(Oh and I think you can get the gloves in grey)

SIXTY SEVEN QUID :eek: for a pair of gloves  I need a drink and a sit down......I am sat down.

Try going to a good surplus store and getting some officer tank commander gloves. VERY soft leather, goretex (totally waterproof, I use a pair for stalking too and they are waterproof even when underwater with my weight on them).

Mine were £10 and brand new. I bought two pairs. I think they are now £12.:Motomartin

GS gloves

I found these to be brilliant and have "tested" these! I found the gloves to be short in the wrists some one said the latest pattern have longer cuffs?, this is the only fault I could find. The vents on the knukle part really work too,
traces of dust appear on the hands so they do work.
