Hello,

I have an 08 GSA and owners of these will know that there is a big BMW roundell on the yoke at ignition position (large plastic part) Mine has blown off? disappeared- Does anyone know the part number for replacement? Can anyone find a part number on one of those techy diagrams? It would be really appreciated- Looking forward to any replies- Many Thanks Jon

And I thought it was only me...
This has happened to mine (2008 GS) twice!
First one lasted a fortnight then it disappeared. Park Lane replaced it FOC (after a little bit of resistance) but the replaced one lasted a week only before that too went AWOL. Haven't bothered to replace it - I think the price was around £28 (which is what Park Lane were going to charge me).
Clearly there is something wrong with the way they are fitted!

How about replacing it with one of those stick on clocks or thermometer instead?

Useful, as well as not pandering to corporate image and advertising ;)

Not just you - happened to me as well; BVM replaced it under warranty, although the tech who took delivery of it said he wasn't too happy with how it looked and would order another one as backup...
I couldn't be bothered doing that, however, and just levered the new one off the black plastic holder, and liberally superglued it back on, so hopefully it's not going anywhere...
:)

Surely on an 08, this is covered by warranty? Mines an 08 and mine came loose when I was repositioning my bars, a bit of superglue is holding it in place (for the moment). They have used a cheap bit of backing foam with a sticky surface. Probably worth everyone prising theirs free and glueing it in place properly.
