There's a good u-tube channel called 'just the way it is' and he does a review of brake pads for the GS. He recommends Brembo LA or SA front and SP rear. I've not tried them personally but he seems to know what he's talking about.

I’ve put EBC sintered pads on back and front. Brakes really well. Will use these again when needed.
