On previous visits to the BMW Dealers (who will remain nameless) I always came away with what the called the "BMW Health Check." That was up until recently, where they now appear to have dispensed with the service.

Anyone else still in receipt of this service or is it only certain dealers that provide it?

While waiting for a demonstrator bike to ride at Allan Jefferies I got talking to a gentleman that was having a recall done and he mentioned that they said they would also be giving his bike a "health check".....Sooooo, looks like AJ's still do it.

The Belgian BMW Motorrad website has this 'Safety Check' app feature nowadays.....this means that you can fill in the last 7 digits of your chassis number and see if any recall or update is available for your bike....(what it is...you don't see).
I used it, and saw that something had to be done to my 2015 R1200GS...a straight away reservation with the nearest dealer could be made, online...
I started the process...but didn't finish it...(the girlfriend shouted that dinner was ready).
Nowadays, if I use the same online app, with the same digits....a simple message states that I don't need any service for the moment :-)....
And that's what I call...weird....

My dealer shows you the health check sheet after the service and goes through it with you.

Appears to be based on a red/amber /green system and includes notes on tyre tread depth and condition , brake pad thickness, battery check , lights etc... bit like a mini MOT.

Mine were all in the green on both bikes, although I would assume that they would no doubt push a bit for repairs if any figures were in the amber and definitely if they were in the red

Noticed on my invoice today for my 1st service it said about "health check" but service advisor did not mention anything about it!
