Hi,

I'm waiting for my bike from the UK to be serviced here in Alaska, and the guys told be that they won't be able to run the BMW Motorrad Diagnostic System as the software they have is for a different zone.

Now this is something I don't understand, these motorcycles are meant to be used for touring long distances, and that means that they need to be serviced in different places. Anyone had a similar experience? I can't believe that the bike can only be connected to the diagnostic system in Europe.

Cheers,
Leo

I got a 6000mile service in Colorado a month ago and I was told the same , our VIN numbers don't register on their system.

I had the service done in Fairbanks, now I'm in Anchorage and here they could connect it to their computer with no problems.

If you are planning on service your bike from outside the UK in Alaska, don't go to Fairbanks!
