Anyone from here on this course? I just took a cancellation today. I'll be on an F650
Also I need accomodation for sat 15th if anyone knows of anywhere localish that has space. There is some kind of festival on apparently. Otherwise I'll be staying in some hotel in swansea or anywhere closer than London.:bounce1Can't wait....

JimboGSA and I are both on that course... likewise, can't wait either :bounce1

In terms of accommodation - have you been through the list provided by BMW yet? The Abercrave and Copper Beech are the two most convenient choices

See you there!

I'm at the Abbercrave on sunday night. I seem to have filed the list they sent me somewhere very safe indeed.
I hope I'm fit enough for this. I'll be cycling to work for the next couple of weeks:eek:

I am on the same course, arriving at the Abercrave Inn on Sunday....leaving on the Tuesday morning. Did that last year on Level 1 and it is good to just drink beer and sleep instead of driving home at the end of day two.

cheers

The food in the Abercrave is good but someone said the rooms were nothing special when I was eating there, the Cooper Beach food is ok too but I understand the accom wasnt top notch as sugegsted in house. The rooms and beer at the Ancient Briton are great (refurbed before someone comes along to say they are horrid) but sometimes they dont do food. Its a 15 min walk, but I reckon worth it for the rooms and beer. Breakfast quality too. I'd choose that if I were there again.

Can confirm that accommodation at the Copper Beech is not great. Shower was pitiful, had to dance about to completely wet. Nice people, food's okay but I'd avoid staying there again.

Well I'm getting desperate now. None of the hotels anywhere near have availabilty. The closest I can find is the Swansea Travelodge. How depressing is that?
I'd love to hang around monday night and drink beer, but I have a course on the Tues, and I've caned my bank balance already without another night in a hotel + more beers. Does sound like a very good idea though.

I do "Do" camping, but only when absolutly essential. It was getting close there but by doggedly googling for hotels I found one.:bounce1
It's in Merther so it's pretty close to the Off Road HQ.
Bargain too at 38quid.
All sorted.
See you all there:D
P.S. on the level 1 I got absolutly shitted in the abercrave at the meal and didn't get my hangover until well into the next day. I will be trying to be more disiplined this time...........:mmmm:beer::mmmm:beer::nenau

We stayed at the Copper Beech in July and met DrZippy on the course who recommended the Castle Coaching Inn at Trewcastle.

It is less than half an hour away to the north, so may be outside the festival catchment area ...
