Anyone else been given the cold shoulder when you have gone in to spend money... or was it just me looking like a scruffy GS rider - less interested they could not have been - took my £200 down the road to Motocycle city

Strange ... I have popped in there a few times and they have always been very chatty and helpful but dealers can be like that.... Last year I went to Vines at Guildford 3 times and they simply ignored me ... one last chance and they couldn't have been more helpful .. perhaps it was a full moon.

Cheapest place to buy a nearly new bike. Bought a year old S1000RR back in March, 1,700 miles, ex BMW HQ, paid less than 10k for it. All other dealers wanting £11-12k plus. This place is owned by BMW, so they get all the ex company bikes, but need to keep turning them over. I haggled hard and reckon I paid what another Motorrad dealer would have paid, before their obligatory £1,500'ish mark up.

Did my own 2.8% finance (Lombard) - could not have done it cheaper, believe me I tried.

They did get their own back by leaving only a meagre amount of fuel in it, but still the best bike deal I've ever done.

Worth persevering I reckon.

IIRC Park Lane pushes out most, if not all, of the ex BMW staff bikes. For this reason they can pick their own prices!:D

Phil Davies is there now - having moved down from North Oxford. Can't imagine him giving anyone the cold shoulder.

What were you trying to buy?

Good bunch to deal with.

Convenient for the underground / bus and you can park on the pavement outside.

Not much of a line in carrots, swedes or turnips, mind.

From my expetience, I would not wish them on my worst enemy

Has the service moved to New Covent Garden before I go the wrong place? Any feedback on the new site?

Not a fan of them but I have an oil leak on the valve cover gasket of my new RT so I need to stop by next week for some potential warranty work.

Cheers
Nico

I believe so. Parts dept is certainly there. Miserable f***ers though in my experience :(

Yes it has. They are sharing space with another dealer. No sales there just car and bike services.

They did mine over Christmas and did a good job.

They can't wash anything there apparently because they don't have a thingymejig to take away the water ..

But good service and service riders work there .

Thanks guys.

I was there yesterday and booked my bike in for next week when they will be back to Stewarts road which is currently being refurbished. I'll let you know how it goes.
