Took my 2019 R1250GS out today, 6800 miles to date and never missed a beat. Started fine, however, as I was getting on (I'd started the bike by this time), I suddenly got a message that the key was out of range (it wasn't) for a few seconds. Got about 500 yards down the road, just changed into 3rd gear and suddenly lost power (if you pulled the clutch in, the bike would tick over, but you couldn't rev), dropped down a gear to second and she immediately picked up. Thought this a bit unusual, but engine still had to come up to working temperature. About 15 miles down the road, doing 70mph on the M25 in top gear and suddenly I felt a loss of power before she picked up again - however even with cruise engaged at 70, the engine just didn't feel right, almost like slight surges of power as it maintained speed. Got to destination ok, did a test start (after getting the random key out of range message at previous start-up) and fired up just fine.
On my return journey, fired up perfectly, ran absolutely perfectly, no hint of the earlier "problems".
At the moment, I'm inclined to believe it to be one of those "technology glitches" that modern machinery suffers for no apparent reason from time to time. Software was last updated last August, so its on the current-1 version (022_005_041)
Anyone else suffered these odd power losses? What it felt like was that the wireless throttle lost "contact" with the engine momentarily (as it didn't cut out, but if you pulled the clutch in, just sat at tickover)
