BMW Rallye 3 suit

Is there a connection piece i'm missing ? If not then i'm fairly sure the zip part on the trousers is on backwards.Heres the pictures.

top of trouser, The plastic bit where the zip starts is to the left on the back but it needs to be on the right for them to zip together.

inside the jacket:

both together, or not as it would seem :

Can anyone shed any light on this or am i missing something?

When you wear the trousers, is the armour at the back of your knees?

what a stupid question. I was hoping for some help before i go back to bmw.If you zip them together the trousers would be backwards.All i need is someone whos got the same suit to look at theirs and confirm im not going mad.

i didn't want to look a plank if i took it back and i was wrong.I just thought i'd ask on here first.I phoned them, and im taking the trousers back next week.Its over an hours drive there so thought id check here knowing i'd get a helpfull reply

Just got back from Balderston, with a "old" rallye 3 set, with a good saving, and a new GS Dry suit for SWBMO.

Michelle was very helpful as always,

There is a 60 and 56 in Gun (jacket), and 58 and 54 in trousers left, not sure about the old grey,. red and blue set.

thanks very much, it seems that for some reason my zip part on the trousers has been put on backwards! I've phoned them anyway and going in next weekend to swap my trousers. How strange that they passed Quality control.

I 've Just checked mine and all ok

I struggled to do the zip up with it all on as the back armour seemed to be getting in the way plus my cack handedness

I ended up getting a Black/gun jacket in 56 for £310 and the trousers in a 58 for £287.

So a brand new rallye 3 suit for £597

But....... I ended up getting a pair of summer 3 black cargo jeans, the new rallye dry gloves and the bmw waterproof over suit well in my eyes they were all free due to my haggling skills

I think I'm well kitted out now for all weathers

Is the Rallye 3 the new one launched this year? On the BMW website it just lists GS Rallye and GS Dry.

Chester bmw explained to me today that the clothing has been names rallye 1,2,3 and now......just rallye! It is essentially rallye 4. she said the style hasnt changed much but the fabrics have, something about the goretex jacket liner rising up on the rallye 3.

Must admit do like the look of the new GS dry suits. Grey and black looks great.
Got the gunmetal rallye 3 suit - but don't really do it justice as don't go off road much.

after using my rallye 3 for a while now im not that happy with it.
I've used it off road also, great kit but the quality is cack.First there was the trousers with a backwards zip.Exchanged them.Then one day all my change inside one of the inner pockets ended up in the bottom of the jacket, i found a hole in the pocket ! Theres numerous bits of loose threads and i just feel its not worth the money, even at the discount i got from bmw.Paid £800.
I know this sounds daft but i've noticed i get ignored when out on the bike now, most of the time nodding and just getting blanked ! where as i didnt before i bought it.I guess thats why they call it a twat suit

The nodding thing is interesting. I find that its generally Harley riders who blank me. I guess its because they are superior in every way

Try Balderston, Chelle very helpful and has just got the new kit in so may be worth trying for your size oh, she did a great price for me...

Great tip I phoned today and though she didnt have my size she sent me to a shop who did in the nice black colour as well.
I was also offered this years jacket for a bargain £460 by one shop.

I guess I will have to wait until the end of the season, the best I could find was £760, now that the weather is good there are no deals to be found...
