I owe the bike an apology.....! I replaced the HT leads and spark plugs and found that the misfire was still there.
I could feel that the exhaust on the LHS wasn't getting warm so determined that the fault was with the carburettor. (I've fitted a pair of 40mm Bings). I removed the top expecting to find a torn diaphragm only to find the needle had worked it's way upwards from the retaining clip.
It's just typical that, due to my modifications, I've compromised the bike's reliability by fitting Airhead parts!
(It doesn't say in the handbook that you can't fit them....)
