Hi Chaps,

A friend and colleague of mine is working in Singapore on a short term contract packaging and commissioning generator sets for data centres, that contract has just been extended and he is now unlikely to come back to the UK for a number of years...if ever!

In any case I have his S1000R Sport in my shed that I'm going to offer for sale, on here first then the other usual sites

'Sport' Spec with DDC and three modes. It can be very docile or an absolute weapon if you let it. The chassis is very impressive, the best handling bike I've ridden in a long while and the brakes are frankly astonishing! It's in very, very good condition, just about spotless to be honest, almost 11,000 miles now. If I get what he asking I will get it the 12k mile service done my local BMW boys in brighton - its a £400 service with air filter and some other bits.

I will add some more pictures later if I get a chance. You are welcome to pop in and have a look...give it some thought, if you are looking for one of these, don't miss out!

£6,500. Cash or bacs only

Cheers.

As promised, a few more photos of it as is, not been washed, all I've done is lube the chain. I took it from a 50 mile run yesterday on dry roads and was reminded how fast it is. It has an urgency about it and is geared quite low so everything is done in top gear unless you really mean business. Even so the slightest flick of the wrist and you are overtaking everything. It's very impressive!

Bump to the top.
I test rode one of these a few years back and two things surprised me.
Firstly, the front brakes are awesome, the dealer said to me to watch them, I went down the road towards the traffic lights and applied the brakes just like I would do on my z1000sx and I stopped about 20ft back from the junction and looked a real dipstick to the car driver behind me....
Secondly, they will pull in top gear from 19mph, I know this because part of my usual test route has a 90' bend after which is all uphill, the bike went around there in decreasing speeds, the lowest of which was 19mph in top and it pulled cleanly, and quickly, up that hill.
Superb bikes, didn't buy one though, I bought a ktm 1290 superduke r, should have had the bmw....
