BMW Tank Bag for Adventure

Hey guys,

I'm considering buying this tank bag for it's "waterproofness" qualities. But I hate to carry a tank bag on the shoulder apart from the helmet, camera, etc etc.

Can this tank bag be used as backpack?

Mines been all over with me and not let water in even in the worst of weathers..
