BMW Top Box Issue not expanding

The BMW expandable top box has stopped moving up and down, the front (side with the lid hindges) appears to go down but something is wrong at the back its as if its sticking. So prior to trying to take it apart thought i would ask if anyone has had any issues??

Probably just needs a clean!!, just undo the screws inside , lift top away from bottom, clean all the sides inc the gasket then put some silicone spray over the gasket and refit, about a 10 min job all in.

Jammed mine by putting sandy towels and things from the beach whilst on holiday on the Med a couple of years ago.

Did just as Seadog advised when I got home - all sorted.

Just remember when you undo the screws, they are screwed into little blocks which can/will drop out underneath and need to be relocated on refitting.

just be careful which screws you undo. There's a thread here somewhere which shows the correct ones. Check before you start....
