Hi all,

Am close to trading my 1200GS for a 1200GSA but am wondering about panniers. I need some form of aluminium panniers (to potentially take abuse on a long trip on poor roads) and would appreciate any feedback from anyone with Touratech ones or Metal Mule or the BMW ones.

My gut feel is to go with the Metal Mule option but am asking now so I know whether to get the BMW rails factory fitted (much cheaper than later!) or get some 3rd party ones.

Regards,

Ian

panniers

I have a set of these on my 1150 adv http://www.cajasahel.com/ good pieces of kit with a high standard of workmanship. Done 2 decent trips so far with no problems.

These take about 10-15mins to bolt on and stay on the bike once fitted for a trip, so you need to think if you are happy with that or wish to remove them each night etc.

If you want to have a look at a set you are more than welcome to come over to have a look. Cannot comment on other makes though i'm afraid.

Spend a few quid and subscribe, top left of the page next to e-bike link. You can then spend a bit of time using the search facility for loads of info on what you need, which might help your decision.
