Hi all,

These forums see a lot of sledging and slagging off, and often it is justified. So I wanted to flip the coin over and give praise to North Oxford BMW and the BMW Warranty team.

I bought a new R1200GSA last July and in all fairness it feels a little bit like it was built on a Friday afternoon where the factory workers wanted to get off to a beer festival (excuse my sweeping stereotype colloquialism)!

It's fair to say my bike gets used (18k miles in the year) but its had an alarming amount of faults......and this is why I am praising North Oxford BMW and the BMW Warranty team.

I have so far had the entire engine, the rear swing arm and the gear shift assist pro system replaced under warranty. All dealt with professionally by North Oxford BMW and as swiftly as possible by BMW Warranty. I've been offered a loan bike when mine has been off the road being fixed and recently they have even been offering to wash my bike when I take it into them for the various works and service.....its the little things like this that make the difference and I have even posted my amazement in the past that a wash wasn't offered, so its great to see changes and improvements.

As we all know, the bikes cost quite a lot these days and the build quality appears to have suffered in recent years, but its great to see the dealership and BMW warranty team working well together to keep the customer satisfied! I'm hoping this years miles give me less issues, but I am reassured to know that North Oxford BMW have got my back if anything else starts to go awry.

Hope others are having similar experiences with their dealerships.....its Tuesday, it must be share the love day!

Just keep Matt Tilsley fed with doughnuts of all varieties and toppings :bounce1 ,and you'll never go far wrong with warranty issues , agreed NOG top dealership for service in all areas :bow :clap :thumb2

+1 for NoG. Have not just dealt with warranty issues well, but general service has also been great. The coffee at NoG is good as well :) ...

I tried this sort of thing at the dealership i worked at i.e. to provide a "professional" service
More to the point Washing them before you put it on your ramp meant less chance of getting road schit in where it shouldn't go! Took 5 mins maybe 10 if there was a queue for the hotwash

And fcuk but theyre are some PIGGING Dirty bikes out there !!

Warranty & QC etc ?

Met a bloke on the Chunnel train last month.
He was on 14 reg WC 1200.
It had a small amount of corrosion on the engine block.
BMW were going to replace the engine !
I realise that not all the bikes have issues, but at 15 grand a pop there should n't be any.

Reassuring news about North Oxford; I have a new bike on order from them. Reading all the tales of doom and gloom on here makes me wonder if I have made an expensive mistake.

For every bike on here that's had problems there are dozens out there that are great.
