BMW Warrranty Information

It seems to be a bit of a lottery. My 2017 GS Rally is perfect after 17,500 miles. Not a hint of corrosion anywhere.

I have just ordered a new GSA so I hope I will win the lottery twice.

It is, sold my 2014 RT in 2019 to buy my 1250RT. Put nearly 25k on the RT in all weathers, not a mark on it. Only got 6k on the 1250 but looks good at the moment.
 
Easiest way to deal with shoddy quality is not to buy it in the first place. I got rid of my one year old GS and went to Honda when it was apparent that the latest Gs was even poorer quality than the previous one. Had 5 boxers in 10 years and each one was worse quality than the previous one. Its a shame as I liked them and my dealer but it was getting silly when you buy a bike in March and it lets you down in May.

Mine had to have a new engine after 2000 miles! Can’t see them changing this one for a bit of corrosion. Any repair it going to have to be invisible though.
 
Bike dropped off at the dealers, let’s seen what they come back with! On a plus note, they gave me a F850GS Rallye whilst it’s in. What a difference over the old 800!
 
Bit of an update from the dealer on the corrosion. Swing arm, FD and RHS cylinder head being replaced under warranty - no complaints there. The 50% battery life warning I kept getting has required a change of the EWS module on the bike. TFT will be updated to latest version.
