BMW waterproof overtrousers

Hi, I got some of the grey BMW waterproof overtrousers a while back. Not had a chance to test them out properly until today on a 75 mile ride mostly in the rain. Result, leak at crotch area. Not happy. It seems to be the cloth-type seating bit that soaked and it leaked through. Has anyone else had problems with these? They will of course be going back. I've got other BMW clothing and have always been 100% satisfied with it. At £50 for overtrousers, you'd expect them to work as designed.

had a pair for a few years (and the jacket). occasional use, no leaks at all.

Obviously a biased opinion, but as you say they should not leak. If it is a stitching fault or similar and they are less than 2 years old, you're dealer should be able to sort a replacement pair or a repair if that is what is required (doesn't sound like it though).

We have sold a few pairs of these and i've never heard a bad word against them.

Never had a pair of waterproof overtrousers that did'nt eventually leak at the crotch in persistent rain, the water pools on the crotch area and always soaks through at some point on a bike like the gs where you sit up.
