BMW ZUMO 550

I want to wire the unit to the bike rather than relying on the unit's own battery. It came with a nice long power lead which has a white plastic plug (female) on the end which looks like it should attach somewhere conveniently but i've no idea where. Any help on this please?

I'll guess though that it's the Canbus plug in which case AFAIK it's not a lot of use to you if I guess you're talking about fitting the zumo to a 1150GS.

More information, might get more definitive answers

If you have a 1200GS then that cable will plug directly into the canbus wiring loom. The connector on my 06 1200GS is positioned by the headstock. The connector is taped up so you will need to look for it. For 08 GS I think the position of the connector is slightly different.

Do a search on the GS site as Im sure there are pictures showing the connector location on the bike.

If you have older 1150 or 1100 GS then this connector will not be much use as the bike doesn't have one.
