Information for Nigel on the Greece to Cyprus crossing.

Whether anything might be possible via Turkey, all be it that is not his preferred route and may well in any case be ill advised.

Any helpful ideas and suggestions vis-a-vis Cyprus in general.

I rented a bike in Cyprus but in 1994.
Guess it’s changed a bit . Remember it being very dusty . Troodos mountains were good but I certainly wouldn’t get a ferry all the way there .
Dunno what the north is like .

I've been to Cyprus many times over the years. And Multiple times with the British Army. I only requested information of a specific route. Making it quite clear. my ultimate goal is to get a boat from Cyprus, to Israel. Which I now have sourced. But that boat sails from the Greek side. I understand there are a couple of routes and services. But they come and go.

Ref me needing to stop Threatening. Its not a threat. In inviability. Time. And just as predicted by several on here. You will find my post and restart the digs. I urge you to put me on Ignore. Which I believed you had done previously. So, please. Dont not indulge in anymore contact within this forum.

The ferry from Greece to Cyprus doesn’t take as long as I might have thought, 30 to 31 hours. You’d be following in the footsteps of the Crusader knights. Richard the Lionheart, bound the king of Cyprus in silver chains. I forget now why.

Cyprus to Israel, is a whole different story. Does any ferry company actually sail the route, or do you try to hitch a lift on a fishing boat / UN container ship?

No direct ferry routes from Cyprus, to Israel. However....... I have found a fright ship, that will take the bike. they warned me though, Its not a cruise ship, so you'd be in a shared cabin, or on deck, and the food is nearly edible. Cost is reasonable. The contract of this ship is fluid, So I have to try and fit it altogether.
