Hi, I've just got a second hand Garmin 2610 and various Mapsource CD's etc which I loaded into Windows XP on my iMac, running Leopard. Apart from the fact that it's yet another App' to get my head around all ok up to that point. However, come to connect the device and whilst Windows recognises it, the other software doesn't Auto detect function doesn't find the sat nav nor do any of the settings for COMMs ports 1 through 4

Any idea? I also downloaded Bobcat but haven't a clue where to start with that and or the CD's DVD's that came with the unit.

As ever, any help gratefully received.

Cheers

I remember when I first tried to use my Zumo with Mapsource and Parallels it wouldn't mount. I finally managed to get it to work by installing the latest version of parallels. Since then it's been fine.

I use BobCat which is a cut down version of Mapsource. I suppose BobCat's feature set will improve as it moves from being a Beta to a fully supported product.

parallels USB support is flakey, try giving the GPS exclusive use in parallels. i had problems connecting a ECU diagnostic tool in parallels yet it worked perfectly in vmware fusion

Cheers Guys

I'll try the cheaper of those two options first and let you know how I get on.

I don't spend that much time on the dark side and when I do it only for the Anquet and now Mapsource applications.

Thanks again
